Ron Allen '93
Thageron "Ron" L. Allen participated in Varsity Basketball, Cross Country, Football, and Track & Field while at Army and Navy Academy. While at University of California, Berkeley, he competed in Football and Track & Field, while on a Reserve Officer's Training Corps Scholarship. He then served in the First Calvary Division, 2nd Battalion, 5th Calvary Regiment with deployments to Bosnia, Kuwait, and the Middle East, leaving the Army as a Captain.
Mike Davis '73
Michael Davis played Varsity Baseball, Soccer, and Football. In his senior year, the ANA football team won the CIF San Diego Section Championship and Mike was named the All League and Offensive Player of the Year. Mike graduated from University of California, Davis and was a 3 year letter man in Football starting as Defensive End.
In Memory of John Gordon '73
While at Army and Navy Academy, John Gordon played Varsity Football and Baseball. He continued to play baseball at the University of California as well as on a team in Mexico.
Frank Patrick '59
Frank Patrick was on the All-League teams in Football and Track & Field while at Army and Navy Academy. Frank moved on to Alan Hancock Junior College where he was part of the Junior College's All-American Football team. In addition, he also set a school record in the 400-meter relay. Later, he was accepted to UCLA on an athletic scholarship in Football.
Steward Smothers '94
Stewart Smothers earned 13 Varsity letters while at Army and Navy Academy in Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Track & Field. He also was a part of five All CIF as well as CIF 1A Player of the Year. He attended San Diego State University and was a part of its Baseball program. He was drafted in the 19th round by the Atlanta Braces and played over six seasons. Stewart later transitioned to a career in scouting for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, and is currently a scout for the New York Yankees.
